ADDIS ABABA, DECEMBER 17, 2021 – Ethiopia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said in a statement this evening that Ethiopia it will not cooperate with the European Union (EU) led resolution which was imposed on it when it was adopted at the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) special session today. It said the stories of "dead bodies in Western Tigray" are fabricated lies which may cause temporary blunders but said it cannot alter reality.   ADDIS ABABA, DECEMBER 17, 2021 — The United Nation Human Rights Council (UNHRC) adopts by vote a European Union led resolution imposing an international commission of experts on Ethiopia to conduct an investigation into allegations of human rights violations putting into question the its previous joint investigation and report that it had already adopted. Ethiopia said, during the Council's special session, that such decision undermines the thriving national mechanism, the Ethiopian Human Rights Council (EHRC), which had recently received an "A" status by the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institution (GANHRI).  The resolution, A/HRC/​S.33/L.1 Situation of human rights in Ethiopia, was​​ submitted by Slovenia (on behalf of the European Union) on 13 December 2021. ADDIS ABABA, DECEMBER 16, 2021 — The infamous Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF) terrorists carried out yet another mass killing, this time massacring 60 civilians at Gashena, on December 01, 2021. Abel Gashaw, a travel photographer, who was embedded with Ethiopian National Defense Forces (ENDF) arrived at Gashena town when an active battle was going on.  "I arrived in Gashena with the troops in midst of an active battle. We were received by residents who are stricken by grief and attending—crying and weeping—a burial at the nearby St. Micheal church. It was the most tragic, traumatizing and heartbreaking scene that I have ever witnessed in my life", said Abel Gashaw. "I have personally counted 40 civilians being buried that day. The trauma, the shock, the inhumanity and the savagery is beyond the pale", he added. The TPLF terrorists were indiscriminately killing civilians during their occupation of Gashena.
